The Akron Symphony Chorus will hold auditions beginning in August.

Appointments are required for the auditions, which will test vocalization, sight reading, voice timbre and choral experience.

The Akron Symphony Chorus, under the direction of Marie Bucoy-Calavan, is dedicated to achieving the highest level of choral singing. Its volunteer singers represent all walks of life from our Akron community and surrounding areas, and the chorus is an indispensable part of the Akron Symphony Orchestra.

Highlights of the upcoming season include excerpts from Wagner’s Die Meistersinger and Verdi’s Requiem. The chorus rehearses during the season on Mondays from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Akron.
