AYS selects Meredith Gallagher as Concerto winner
Meredith Gallagher is a sophomore at Cuyahoga Falls High School, and she has been a member of the Akron Youth Symphony for three years.
She began taking violin lessons at the Western Reserve Suzuki School when she was three years old, studying with Dr. Marlene Moses, and she is now a student of Cory Smith, a violinist with the Akron Symphony Orchestra.
Meredith also runs track and cross country, is fluent in Spanish, and loves to read and play with her dog, Caesar. In college, she plans to major in history.
She will perform a violin solo of Accolay’s Concerto No. 1 in A minor at the Akron Youth Symphony’s Spring Concert on May 6.
Congratulations Meredith!
