ASO to welcome Elisabeth Rosenberg as guest artist on November 16

The Akron Symphony Orchestra is pleased to welcome soprano Elisabeth Rosenberg as a guest artist for Verdi and Valkyries on Nov. 16.
Praised by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as having a voice of “opulence and ease,” Elisabeth is earning a reputation as an exciting dramatic soprano on the classical scene today.
In the 2018/2019 season, Elisabeth will debut with Akron Symphony Orchestra where she will sing Brünhilde’s Immolation Scene from Götterdämmerung.
In the summer of 2018, Elisabeth debuted with Pittsburgh Festival Opera, singing excerpts from Tristan und Isolde and Wesendonck Lieder as a featured artist with the Mastersinger’s Program lead by world-renowned soprano, Jane Eaglen. Elisabeth has also appeared with the Miami Wagner Institute appearing as Gerhilde in scenes from Die Walküre alongside world acclaimed American soprano, Christine Goerke, as Brünhilde.
Previous engagements include the soprano soloist in Verdi’s Requiem with Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and First Lady with Aspen Opera Theater’s Die Zauberflöte.
In the summer of 2015, Elisabeth was a quarter-finalist in the 23rd Edition of Plácido Domingo’s Operalia, The World Opera Competition, hosted by the Royal Opera House in London. Elisabeth was a finalist in the Elizabeth Connell Prize for Dramatic Sopranos in Sydney, Australia, as well as a semi-finalist in the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in Amsterdam.
