Did You Know?

Born in Hartford, Conn., Dudley Buck was one of the first American composers recognized for his religious music, primarily for organ.

Robert Lowden was a prolific composer, arranger and renowned clarinetist. His Armed Forces Salute, which features a nod to each branch of the armed forces, is probably one of the most widely used salutes to our military personnel.

About the Musicians

Members of the professional Akron Symphony Orchestra serve as coaches for the Akron Youth Symphony, assisting students in developing their performance skills and preparing the challenging repertoire.
