Each $50 Flex Subscription is pre-loaded with four ticket credits to use for any Akron Symphony Orchestra concert. You decide how to use them. Attend four different concerts once, have two date nights, or bring yourself and three friends to one performance — you may mix and match however you choose.

How it works: Each ticket credit can be used for any concert in the Classic Series or Gospel Meets Symphony. You may redeem the credits whenever it is convenient for you — even the day of the concert!

Echoing the mysteries of the sea, Debussy’s La Mer summons the emotional power and psychological depths of wind and waves. Gospel Meets Symphony

The Akron Symphony Orchestra and the powerful voices of the Gospel Meets Symphony Choir come together for an inspired community celebration. It is one of Northeast Ohio’s proudest and most enduring musical traditions. This performance, which has created numerous memories since its debut in 1994, promises to deliver something new, fresh and homegrown.

Also sprach Zarathustra

An evening commemorating the 60th anniversary of NASA and the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. John Adams’ orchestral ball-of-fire A Short Ride in a Fast Machine raises the curtain, opening the way to intensely vibrant scores by two of the greatest film composers of all time. Richard Strauss’ tone poem about the human condition, Also sprach Zarathustra, provided Stanley Kubrick with the signature music for the opening sequence of his 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Beethoven’s Eroica

The Eroica Symphony bursts with the revolutionary spirit of its original dedicatee, Napoleon. Resulting from an explosion of creativity, it was Beethoven’s favorite of his own symphonies. Mass in C is also from his great Middle Period, a time when Beethoven counteracted his hearing loss by fueling his music with heightened expression.

West Side Story (Symphony Concert Version)

Leonard Bernstein’s electrifying score changed the course of Broadway history. Picking up where George Gershwin left off, Bernstein’s musical is a hot concoction of Latin jazz, Broadway romance, popular song, tension-filled ensembles, and classical charm. The complete 1957 score is performed in its original splendor.
