Tallie Brunfelt will be the guest speaker at a special luncheon on November 15 at 11:30 a.m.

Entering her third season as Concertmaster of the Akron Symphony Orchestra, Tallie also serves as Assistant Concertmaster of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra and Assistant Principal Second Violin of the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed recently with the Minnesota Orchestra and the Reading Symphony.

The luncheon, which is presented by the Akron Symphony Guild and open to the public, will be held at Sheraton Suites, located at 1989 Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls. Tickets are $30 per person and guests will have the choice of Chicken Sinatra or Baked Cod with an almond crust. Reservations must be received by November 11.

Tallie will also be the featured violinist during the Akron Symphony’s performance of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons on November 16. (Tickets and more information are available here.)

Based in New York City, Tallie Brunfelt maintains an active freelance career throughout the Northeastern United States. On Broadway, Tallie was most recently First Violinist/Violist for King Kong: Alive on Broadway.

She has also enjoyed regular appearances in many other Broadway shows including Les Miserables, Something Rotten!, Carousel, Anastasia, Miss Saigon, Hello Dolly!, Mean Girls, and Ain’t Too Proud – The Life and Times of The Temptations. Tallie looks forward to performing again this winter in the Radio City Music Hall’s Christmas Spectacular, starring the Radio City Rockettes.

An accomplished studio musician, Tallie can be heard on recent motion picture and television soundtracks including Gemini Man, Joker, The Goldfinch, The Greatest Showman, A Dog’s Purpose, Fosse/Verdon, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Her recording credits include the Le Boeuf Brothers’ jazz album In Praise of Shadows as the first violinist of the Myth String Quartet, and both Mi Alma Mexicana (Sony) and Travesio Carmesi (Columbia) as a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas. Additionally, Tallie is proud to perform in the annual holiday release of Carols for a Cure, which benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
