Our annual Gospel Meets Symphony concert returns for its 31st year, bringing together YOUR Akron Symphony Orchestra and the renowned GMS Choir for a packed stage that has cemented its legacy as one of Akron's landmark performances. All concerts take place at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, located on the campus of The University of Akron. This series of performances, continuing in the spring of 2025, is specially designed for children, ages 2-6, but both the young and the young-at-heart will find this year’s concerts to be engaging, exciting, and entertaining. Our theme, “Music Moves Me,” is designed to show some of the many ways that music moves us – both physically and emotionally. Tickets are $6 per person, with free admission for children 2 years old or younger.
