The Greater Akron Musical Association Board of Trustees is pleased to welcome Quinnie Lane to the board.

Quinnie began her career at Goodyear in 1979, and has transitioned through a variety of roles in North America. She recently took on her current role as Change Manager for Goodyear’s Global Cyber Security Team.

In 1982 Quinnie earned her associate degree in executive secretarial science. In 1990, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business & organizational communications, and in 2000 she earned her master’s degree in international business, all from The University of Akron.

Quinnie is an Akron native, and remains very passionate about community engagement, volunteerism, and service within the community. She currently serves as President of TWIGS No. 9, a group of dedicated women who assure that the kids at Akron Children’s Hospital are provided with engaging crafts during their stay. She is also a certified “Cuddler” where she helps families with infants in the neonatal intensive care unit, by assuring that their babies acquire the important comfort, love, and attention during this very critical period of their lives. Quinnie has previously served on both the Akron Summit Community Action (ASCA) and the ACCESS Women’s Shelter boards in Akron.

The encouraging work of her aunt, Ann Lane Gates, with Gospel Meets Symphony, and the enriching exposure gain by her youngest son, as a member of the Akron Youth Symphony, has inspired Quinnie to serve on the GAMA board. She hopes to make a personal contribution to help further their success, and spread the word about the gifts and talents found within this fine organization.

Quinnie joins fellow new Trustees Tracy Dowe, a vice president and relationship manager with Wells Fargo Commercial Banking, Charles Myricks Jr., a composer and chief operating and development officer of the National Association of the Church of God, Renée Pipitone, a retired educator, and Noriko Wilson, a pianist and educator.
