About Friends

During the summer of 2022, the Akron Symphony Guild transformed into the Akron Symphony Friends ushering in a new era of important support for the Akron Symphony Orchestra. The Akron Symphony Friends builds upon the 70-year commitment of the Akron Symphony Guild to support the Akron Symphony organization, including the Akron Symphony Orchestra, Chorus, and Youth Symphony, through volunteering and fundraising. Akron Symphony Friends will continue the Akron Symphony Guild legacy of stewardship which started in 1952. Everyone who supports the Akron Symphony Orchestra is part of Friends! To benefit the Akron Symphony Orchestra, we commit to volunteer, to engage, and to support!

There are many exciting ways to get involved. The Akron Symphony Friends assist with a variety of fundraising, social, and special events such as Community Outreach, Link Up, Concerts for Kids, The Lakes Tour of Portage Lakes Homes, Gala, and Previews from the Podium just to name a few.
