The Box Office will be closed in observance of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (and the day after), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Ticket Exchange Policy

Ticket holders may transfer or exchange their tickets in one of the following ways:

Give the Tickets to a Friend or Colleague: Have you been looking for an opportunity to introduce a friend or colleague to the Akron Symphony? Simply pass your tickets along and give them an unforgettable experience.

Release the Tickets for a Tax Credit: Release your tickets for resale and receive a tax credit for the value of your tickets as a donation to a charitable organization.

Exchange the Tickets for Another Concert: Release your tickets and exchange them for one of equal value to another Akron Symphony concert of your choice.

To take advantage of these opportunities: Please call the Akron Symphony Ticket Office at 330.535.8131 by 4 p.m. the day before the concert you are unable to attend.

Seating Policies

Accessible Seating: If you have a special accommodation request (e.g. wheelchair seating, medical needs) please let us know by using the comments section of your web order or by calling the Akron Symphony with your instructions when placing your order. E.J. Thomas Hall is equipped with wheelchair accessible seating and assistive listening devices.

Late Seating: Concerts begin promptly at the designated time. Out of consideration for others, latecomers will be seated at a suitable pause in the performance.

Child Seating Policy: Every patron, regardless of age, needs a ticket to enter the concert hall, including babies. E.J. Thomas Hall reserves the right to remove anyone from the venue who causes a disturbance or disrupts other customers’ experience(s). Customers who are removed from the theater will not receive a refund. All sales are final and there are no refunds unless the show is cancelled.

Visitor Policies

Entry policy: You must have a ticket to enter E.J. Thomas Hall. If you do not have your ticket(s) prior to entry, please visit the E.J. Thomas Hall Box Office to pick up your ticket(s).

Photography and Video policy: Cameras, videocameras and recording devices are strictly prohibited in the concert hall or in any other space where a performance or rehearsal is taking place.

Cell phone policy: Cell phones must be silenced during the performance.

Smoking policy: E. J. Thomas Hall is a smoke-free building. Smoking areas are located outside the building.

Weapons policy: No weapons of any kind are permitted at E.J. Thomas Hall.

Important information about your tickets

The official website for purchasing tickets to our concerts is akronsymphony.org.

Please note that Ticketmaster is also an authorized vendor for concerts at E.J. Thomas Hall, as well as the E.J. Thomas Hall Box Office. Tickets purchased from any unauthorized website or third-party vendor may be counterfeit, and seats cannot be guaranteed. The resale of this ticket at a price higher than the price printed on the ticket may result in the cancellation of this ticket without a refund. Tickets purchased from unauthorized sources are not eligible for an exchange, reprint and/or reassignment of pick-up name – you must work directly with the third-party seller.

Note to third-party ticket resellers: If we have reason to believe that you are purchasing tickets for resale, your order will be canceled and your money will be refunded to you. Your concert ticket is a revocable license, subject to termination with the denial of admission at the Akron Symphony Orchestra’s discretion upon refund of the purchase price, and subject to revocation with denial of admission or removal from the facility, without compensation, should the ticket holder violate the rules and regulations of the facility.

Discounted and Rush Tickets

Here is a listing of discounts we offer on concerts:

Season Ticket Holder Discounts: Season ticket holders receive the best prices and seats along with other amazing benefits, including additional discounts off of concerts throughout the season. For more information, click here or call 330.535.8131.

Group Sales: Save on tickets when you purchase for a group! A discount of 20% off is available for parties of 10 or more. Click here to learn more.

Rush Tickets: Based on availability, a limited number of $7 Student Rush Tickets are available beginning 30 minutes prior to the concert. These tickets must be purchased in person at the E.J. Thomas Hall Box Office and a valid student ID must be presented. Seating selection and availability are limited.

Handling Fees

Any handling fee added to your ticket purchase helps cover operating costs for the Akron Symphony, a not-for-profit charitable organization that reaches thousands of people annually. This fee helps make it possible for the orchestra to fulfill its mission to enhance the quality of life of our community through education and musical excellence.

Handling fees are applied to ticket purchases made online.

Ticket Donation Requests

Based on availability, the Akron Symphony will donate concert tickets to other local nonprofits and organizations for fundraising purposes. Please mail your donation request to:
